Dolwyddelan village
nestles under a breathtaking wilderness of mountain peaks, waterfalls,
rivers and forests, wonderful for walking, climbing, bird watching, fishing,
painting and photography. Its ruined castle (painted by Prince Charles)
was probably the birthplace of Llewellyn the Great.
If you are looking
for a romantic getaway, a walking holiday, or would like to explore the
Snowdonia National Park and North Wales, we are pleased to offer our 4-person
self-catering cottage for rent the year-round. For information and photos
on the cottage, the environment and a photo gallery please see below and
follow the links on the left.
About the cottage
Ty’r Delyn
itself has been attractively created from two of a row of miners’
cottages, about five minutes walk from the centre of the village. The
cottage backs onto an enclosed garden by way of a footbridge over a small
stream which tinkles down right beneath the rear windows.( Both footbridge
and stream are securely fenced: naturally young children will need supervision.)
From the garden you can view the surrounding mountains – Snowdon
and Dolwyddelan Castle are visible on a clear day. A small patio allows
a barbecue beside the stream.
The cottage provides:
A living/dining
room with coal/log burning stove which heats the water while in use
A fully equipped
galley style kitchen
Open stairs leading
to a small first floor landing
One double bedroom
One single bedroom
One single bedroom
with extra stow-away bed
A combined bathroom/toilet.
The cottage is
heated with night storage heaters; electricity is charged at £17.50 for a
short break or £30 a week (from October to April); coal is free, linen is
included TV, and a DVD player are also provided, as well as a microwave, washing machine
and immersion heater. We allow one dog.
Free parking is available
within fifty yards of the cottage.
